Recorded near a drainpipe, i have no idea what the bass wind sound in the background is. I think it was some sort of exhaust from the basement around, but i don't know why it turned off and on. In any case it makes for a very spooky ambient effect.

I recorded this sound in a rainy istanbul day from my room. You can hear seagulls cooing, cars passing through a wet road and splashes of rain drops. (splashes are not loud enough to hear easily but i had nothing to do about it. ).

The sounds of a soft summer evening storm in the city drawing to a close. Recorded on a blue yeti from my studio window that faces the gangway between buildings. Some distant sounds of my partner in the apartment can be heard within the first 30 seconds. Throughout the remainder, there are occasional sounds from the street as cars pass on the wet road.

Chirp sound, 250hz - 800hz square waveform. Linear interpolation. Wet reverbed and compressed to 3:1 ratio. Equalized with riaa wave curve (top-left to bottom-right). Each chirp lasts 3. 750s. Repeats 4 times layered over itself, including the last chirp without any layered sounds on it.

A suspenseful riser made from a wet mix of a rate-shifted bed frame being hitted and reversed after it has been "glued" or rendered as is, producing a deep, "mega-marvin" similar sample. A sample that was created from utilizing chromatic tones, stretching, reverb and the use of the wet/dry filtering to get the mix "just right". If you aren't aware of what the mega-marvin is. Mega-marvins are essentially instruments containing extremely heavy string, woodwind and varying density of materials that generate strong noises, trailing ambiances and brass-like sound qualities quite suited to the horror genre, generating a daunting and sorrowful sounds. Very fascinating stuff, look it up if you can - they're big and quite technical.

This meal of pasta with tomato sauce sounded fleshy, so i decided to record it. Sometimes you can hear the wooden spoon hit the pan. In the end, i even drop some of the past imitating a squish and a splash. Recorded using a phone and a lapel microphone.

The feeding of two hungry cats. Early sounds include tinkling of crunchy food falling into a near bowl and a more distant one, and the munching sounds of a purring cat. Then the snap of the top of the feeding container, and closure of a cabinet door. Two cats (bowmore and munro) the former near and the latter further away then transition to eating wet food. Recorded with the zoom h4 xy microphone pair in 24bit 48k wave, then converted to flac in audacity with a bit of amplification.

Just a long, reverberating and multi-faceted fart sound made with my ample arm, sock over the microphone, in a small sound booth. No extra noises. Editted a few together from different tracks to create the 'overlapping' effects of the smaller ones, added a few effects, and was used in a 'toon of mine (kind of 'butthole of the world' volcano going off, suffice to say). Not as wet sounding as i thought it was going to be, though. Can be cropped, etc.

A second attempt at recording the deep mud i keep finding myself walking through each morning on walthamstow marshes. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics (connected to a bent wire clothes hanger and positioned about 30cm above my feet). Processing: normalize -1. 0db, low cut filter 100hz, minor noise reduction to reduce background traffic/train noise. I do not require any credit or attribution. This is a gurgling sound i created by accident. It's a short clip from the "new dimensions in sound (1957)" public domain clip from the prelinger collection at archive. Org. Specifically, i used this line: "as the record plays, the needle wiggles. " cut out the first part, made a loop of "the needle wiggles. . . I made changes in the impulse response of the fisher k-10, i used a demo of the fisher spacexpander on youtube that had a warmer sound, i did eq match using small sections of the video where the audio is dry or wet, i did this sin several times and the result was fantastically similar. I generated this sound for a scene of a short video in which a zombie attacks my friend. It's a loud burst of roars and snarls, altered using audacity. I recorded myself doing my best zombie voice, then i lowered the pitch, boosted the bass, and added a phaser to make it more wet and added some feedback. I hope you find it useful!.
